Mother's Day

My mom is a business woman. She travels a lot for her PR job so I just had to shoot her for my environmental portrait assignment.

36 Expressions

Left to Right: happy, ecstatic, content, sad, depressed, nervous, angry, furious, devious, bored, annoyed, and surprised
Tired, exhausted, disgusted, are you kidding me?, hyper, proud, cute, snob, evil, scared, terrified, and stud.
Tough, intimidated, goofy, confused, contemplative, serious, in love, fake smile, wink, sour, something stinks and fishy face.

These frames look a little funny because they're screen shots from Lightroom. This was a fun assignment, probably the most simple one we've ever had. Didn't do much retouching but that'll come later on.

Still Life

I knew wanted to go old school (fruit in the bowl stuff) as soon as the assignment was given. Anthropologie puts together the most amazing still lives, I used them for inspiration.

San Juan, PR

In Puerto Rico I ended up not being interested in shooting the beach at all, but the historical "old san juan" instead. The second image is from Fort San Cristobal and the third Fort San Felipe Del Morro, both built in the 17th century.

Little Gymnast

I loved this shoot, I'm hoping to go back and do some audio work. It never occured to me when I was there age how harsh the coaches were, it was normal to me. But within fifteen minutes of practice two girls were crying, a sight that didn't surprise me at all.

Auto Mechanic

It scares me sometimes how fine art my stuff has been looking lately but regardless I really enjoyed this shoot though and might go back a third time. It was a really comfortable place to be and the mechanics were very friendly.

The Lake

All I have to say about this shoot is that I have never been so cold in my life. And I appreciate a certain someones staying by my side the entire time.

Little Bit of Tech Crew

Monastery

I'm really frustrated with this shoot. I wanted to go into the convent and follow the sisters around and photograph their daily routine. Little did I know that when they take their vows they completely cut themselves off from the outside world. They speak to you through a metal grate called "the grill" with a curtain behind it and have to receive objects on turntable.

NY Snow

"Before you go out saving the world... you must shoot the weather first." Okay Owen Butler. The first photo is definitely my favorite, I dont wanna sound cocky and say its my first cartier-bresson but I think it just might be.
